WiFi hotspots now exceeds 19 million
The iPass global WiFi network has grown tremendously during the last few months. The total number of WiFi hotspots now exceeds 19 million in 120 countries using 150 network providers.
Flexinets Global WiFi subscribers can access in-flight Wi-Fi services on many global airline carriers. Today spanning the globe with more than 2,200 aircrafts representing over 6,000 domestic flights per day.
The US domestic airlines now include American Airlines, Delta, United, US Airways, Air Canada, airTran and Virgin America among others.
Internationally, subscribers can connect with Wi-Fi on Lufthansa, British Airways, Air France, KLM, Etihad, Aer Lingus, Kenya Airways and Transaero. 95% of the world’s top 100 airports* is also covered by the service.
With over 82,000 hotspots in hotel and convention centers worldwide the global WiFi network provides seamless access to premium Wi-Fi services at many hotel hotspots including access at Hilton, Sheraton, Crowne Plaza, Hyatt, Marriott and Radisson among others. Venues like Starbucks and McDonald’s are also included in the network.
In the United States the network also provides access to outdoor WIFI zones including shopping centers, commuter stations, parks, sporting venues, beaches and boardwalks. The outdoor WIFI zones are available across the US, in for example Atlanta, Baltimore, Boston, Chicago, Miami, Philadelphia, Salt Lake City, San Fransisco, Seattle, Trenton, and Washington DC.
